Create a blog. Once you have done that, then submit a blog. Do it. Do it now. I dare you. See if you have what it takes to join the blogosphere. Feel how liberating it is to just get your thoughts and words out there. There is definitely an immediate sense of gratification that comes with being a blogger.
I started blogging when I was in middle school. It was like a diary that people could comment on, and as I got older, my blogs became less whiney and more worldly, more relevant. Something good started to happen, i.e. I began to develop a world view. Even better, I started to get comments. The feeling of being read was new, and it was uplifting. It actually shaped my life, and determined what I wanted to do with my life. I decided to be a writing major in college all because I choose to submit a blog way back in the day.
You can keep it simple. “Cute things to say to your girlfriend” was one of the first blogs I ever wrote that got comments.
You can make them complex. You can write long rants with complicated ideas about timely subjects, like science and technology or about politics.
If scared, you can do research on how to submit a blog, like you might doing now. You can read blogs on blogging. If that is what it takes for you to go submit a blog, then I encourage you to do it.
If you do not do it now, then at least put it on your bucket list. “Submit a blog,” get published, get heard, feel like a part of a community. There is no better feeling than the feeling of belonging, and it is as easy as the simple act of going to submit a blog.
Its really interesting how blogging affected the worldview of the author of this.
I know. We live in a really word time dont we. Its like we are simultaneously more private and less private.
