Much like all cooks have their own knives, all HVAC professionals should have their own tools. You’re also going to need a personal tool bag to keep your things. There are many types of tool bags available on the market, including bags that look like suitcases with wheels for easy transportation.
If you’re just starting out, you should have a couple of decent pipe wrenches. Invest in the aluminum kind. These might be a bit more expensive, but they’re better and lighter. You should also have a meter and several storage boxes for spare screws, nails, etc.
